Last night, Tommy demonstrated how to resize the photos I wanted to make smaller, which turned out to be quite simple. I often find myself asking questions about basic tasks that I could easily learn to do on my own. I tend to forget that when I’m in a specific window or app on my laptop, the taskbar transforms into that window or app’s toolbar. It didn’t occur to me to look at the taskbar for the necessary tools. Nonetheless, I recognize that I could have figured it out without assistance. While I don’t expect others to tell me to find solutions independently, I do believe I should attempt a task before seeking help.
Regarding the pictures, my goal is to incorporate them into my planner or journal. It’s amusing that I don’t usually include photos in this journal, even though it’s fairly easy to do so. Typically, when I have pictures, I just share them on Facebook and Instagram. I used an Instagram app called Layout to create a collage with several photos. Canva is another option I can use to assemble images. After that, I go to my laptop, click on the saved collage, and print it out on photo paper. The images end up small enough to fit into my planner or journal. This method allows me to produce collages more quickly than if I were using a mini printer. Last night, I practiced by printing out a collaged picture of the cats, so now I just need to cut out the images. Admittedly, with a mini printer, I wouldn’t have to do the cutting myself, but it’s not difficult. We even have a paper cutter that provides a straight edge for this task.
I believe Tommy and I are planning to use the Paprika app to organize our recipes. I was going to install Paprika on my phone, but it requires a payment of $4.99. I think I’ll wait to do that until we finalize our plan. I’m also curious if Paprika has a feature that allows you to take a picture of a recipe and digitize it. I have many recipes from my grandma that I would love to preserve digitally.
Today, I’m having difficulty concentrating. I took my anxiety medication this morning, as my anxiety levels are quite high today. I want to clean, but I need to focus on coding right now. Additionally, the areas I want to clean have stuff that doesn’t belong to me, so it’s best if I don’t touch other people’s things.
For dinner tonight, we’re having carnitas tacos. I’ve prepared some pinto beans, which are currently in the slow cooker. I also have a small grocery list for later, which makes it all the more important that I stay focused since I will be heading out later.
In my coding, I’m still working on understanding how to write the promises function. It’s probably best if I shift my focus from just staring at the screen. Oh, it seems it’s lunchtime! I should check what’s available to eat and then return to concentrate on this function.
I’ve been working on my code, but nothing seems to be functioning properly. It’s quite frustrating and makes me tempted to procrastinate and shift my focus elsewhere. To help myself, I made a cup of tea. Earlier this afternoon, I also went to the store and picked up a few items for dinner, and I collected the mail as well.
I’m baffled by Amazon.com. Each month, Tommy receives various Amazon Basics products like food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc. Today, we received a bottle of cleaner, but Amazon packaged it in a large box. It seems like such a waste to put such a small item in such a big package.
I lost track of time and need to prepare a few things for dinner and make Tommy’s lunch. I hope to have some clarity regarding the promise function by tomorrow.
