This morning, I focused on completing various errands over the phone and assisting Karissa with her university preparations. I’m a bit worried about her medical insurance—she has Medicare due to her disability, but I don’t believe it covers dental care. She has a dentist appointment later today, and I called the office to confirm that they accept all insurance, so let’s hope for a smooth outcome. The dental office told her to come and they will run her card. Additionally, I reached out to her cardiologist to verify that they accept her insurance, and fortunately, they do. That’s reassuring, especially with her appointment scheduled for Tuesday.
I also received a call from Alexis this morning. She is applying for jobs in our town and plans to work for a year before pursuing graduate school next year. She mentioned she might return to the same university. Meanwhile, I’ve been intermittently helping Karissa get organized for university in the Fall, alongside helping Kel with her frustrations. I’m planning to have lunch in about an hour and will brush my teeth afterward, as I want them to be clean for my dentist appointment this afternoon.
Tonight is Tommy’s band practice, and Alex has offered to prepare spaghetti for the rest of us for dinner. It’s quite nice not to have to cook.
Later in the day, I attended my dentist appointment and, thankfully, I have no cavities. I also scheduled a cleaning appointment for myself and Karissa. The dentist provided us with the antibiotics we need for our upcoming appointments. On our way home, we stopped by Kel’s dad’s house. After that, we went to Walmart to pick up our medications.
Now, we’re just waiting for Alex to start making dinner. I’m feeling quite hungry since I’ve only had a sandwich today. In the meantime, I plan to watch some YouTube and maybe play on my Switch. Oh! Karissa was able to have her dentist appointment. They took her insurance. I’m so happy they did. I was worried about that.
