I’m halfway through packing. To help me finish, I’m using the packing list I created for the July cruise, although I plan to condense the clothing selections a bit. I’m feeling a bit anxious about tomorrow. I haven’t seen my mom in 12 years, and it’s bound to be strange and awkward. However, I believe it will be okay. She is really eager to see the girls. On a positive note, we’ve checked in for our flight tomorrow.
I mentioned to Lexi that I was bringing my laptop, to which she responded, “With what internet?” I’m not entirely sure, but having my laptop with me makes me feel more at ease. Hopefully, I’ll find a way to use it. I decided against bringing my Switch, as I’m uncertain whether there will be much downtime, and it would just add extra weight to my backpack.
I’m struggling to concentrate on coding. I read and code for a bit, then find myself zoning out. I’ve been packing my backpack in between coding sessions, which isn’t particularly helpful, though it does make me feel better knowing my bag is mostly packed.
I will try to journal while I’m away, but since my mom doesn’t have internet access, posting anything may be challenging. I could use my phone to do some mini updates so I might give that a try.
The girls and I contacted our bank to inform them about our trip to California. The call took an hour, which was longer than I anticipated, but I believe everything is settled now. Now, I need to finish packing. I’m feeling quite hungry, so I think I’ll prepare myself some matcha tea to hold me over until dinner.
