Sandy keeps wandering in front of my computer and settling down, so I’ve found a temporary solution. I placed a blanket next to me on the desk, and now she’s sleeping on it. This way, I can type without worrying about her interrupting me. She’s quite light, so I believe my desk can support her weight. I’m cautious not to place too much weight on it; I don’t even lean on the desk because I’m unsure it can handle that load.
Getting back into the groove after vacation can be challenging. Returning from a trip often feels like hitting a wall, especially when that break allows me to escape my routines and responsibilities. My mind and body are still in a more relaxed rhythm, and suddenly, I’m expected to switch back to productivity. That transition can feel quite jarring.
I have clothes to put away, suitcases to put away, and mail to sift through, not to mention coding tasks that need my attention. I also have therapy at 2:30, which adds to my sense of overwhelm. While I’m trying to concentrate on coding, I can’t shake the feeling of having so many other tasks to complete. I haven’t opened my planner in a few days, so I think I’ll start by writing down everything I need to do.
I need to develop a memoize function. A memoize function stores the results of a function based on its arguments, allowing subsequent calls with the same inputs to return the cached result instead of recalculating the output. This can greatly enhance performance for functions that are frequently invoked with identical parameters. I find this concept somewhat confusing, so I will take some time to research it further before proceeding.
Alex purchased some green milk from Minecraft, and both he and Alexis decided to try it. It turns out it’s quite disgusting—Haha!
I just finished my therapy session, where we discussed my trip to California. I plan to share more details about that tomorrow. Wow, it’s really pouring outside. I’m going to brew myself some matcha tea and put away the laundry.
