I don’t typically wear makeup, but I enjoy watching makeup tutorials. I find it puzzling myself. I also watch skincare and dermatology videos, as I have a genuine liking for skincare.
I’m not quite sure how to begin my journal entry today. Overall, it was a nice day. Kel, Tommy, and I attended a funeral this morning for a friend’s mother who passed away last month. Tommy came directly from work. Kel and I left the house around 9 a.m. and arrived at the memorial park early. The memorial was quite lovely. The air was heavy with remembrance, but also with gratitude. Stories were shared, and the room seemed to hold a gentle reverence for a life well-lived. There’s something sacred about moments like this—when people come together not just to mourn, but to celebrate. I left feeling reflective, and strangely peaceful.
Afterward, Tommy returned to work while Kel and I headed over to our friend’s house for the reception. We enjoyed pizza and ice cream, which happened to be our friend’s mom’s favorite. Kel and I stayed for a while, but eventually, we had to leave. Before we departed, I received a few shirts from our friend that she no longer wanted because they didn’t fit her well. They look cute, and Tommy pointed out via text that my shirt collection is quite extensive, to the point where I can barely open my drawer at home. He’s right; I do need to declutter. Perhaps I’ll tackle that this weekend.
Kel made a stop to get gas before we went to Jersey Mike’s to pick up a sandwich for her dad and Alex. Afterward, we headed home, where Kel dropped me off and handed Alex his sandwich. She then left to spend some time at her dad’s house.
I intended to start coding, but I got sidetracked by a video that Tommy sent about the most expensive grocery store. One video led to another, and before I knew it, I had spent an hour and a half watching various videos, makeup tutorials and planner videos. Eventually, I decided to start writing here.
Tonight, Tommy has band practice, so the rest of us are on our own for dinner. I’ll likely watch a few more videos and perhaps play Final Fantasy XIV. For now, I’m going to make myself a cup of tea and change into my pajamas.
I’ve been experiencing difficulties with WordPress over the past few days, as I haven’t been able to post my writings through their website dashboard. I’ve had to use their app on my phone. This situation is concerning for me, as I have always appreciated WordPress and am quite familiar with its functionality. I don’t require assistance with web design, and I’m satisfied with my web host and its pricing. If the issues with WordPress persist, I might explore other platforms offered by my host. For now, I think my best course of action is to email WordPress regarding my posting problems and see where that leads me.
Ok, I have put in a support ticket to my web host. I keep getting a HTTP ERROR 500. Which sucks. I should get an answer back soon. For now I will upload this to my site using the WordPress app on my phone.
Another annoyance is that we find ourselves low on wet cat food once again. We typically use four cans each day since we feed the cats twice a day. Although we recently purchased a box of wet cat food, it seems we are running low again. I spoke with Karissa about it, and she mentioned that she gives O’Malley one full can, as he is a larger cat, and half a can each to Emily and Sandy. This morning, she had fed them dry cat food due to the shortage of wet food. It’s frustrating.
