I’m still adjusting to typing with these long nails, but I’m making fewer typos as I go. It’s getting easier. Lexi had her doctor’s appointment this morning, and everything went well. The doctor advised her to cut down on dairy, though I’m not sure how committed she’ll be to that. Her sister is more lactose intolerant than she is and avoids dairy altogether. Kel’s dad picked us up and drove Lexi to her appointment. Afterwards, we stopped by a local coffee shop, where Lexi kindly bought me a coffee. She offered Kel’s dad a drink, but he declined. After that, we headed to the post office so I could mail in the health insurance renewal papers; I wanted to make sure they were sent before our upcoming trip. We then went over to Walmart before finally heading home. I realized I forgot my mail key, as I intended to check the mail. We can pick it up on Thursday since the cruise medallions are arriving that day.
Thursday is shaping up to be a busy day. Kel has already prepared a list of tasks we need to tackle, so it’s sure to be both fun and stressful.
This morning, I had toast to avoid feeling hungry before heading out. I just finished a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as well. I know my eating habits could use some improvement, but I’m not quite sure how to go about it. I tend to eat very little and often only eat because I feel I have to, which doesn’t encourage me to seek out healthier options. My meals usually consist of simple foods like toast or sandwiches. However, I do make an effort to eat better at dinner. For instance, last night I cooked chicken adobo, and it turned out quite well! It’s my lazy chicken adobo. I mean, if we were to get serious, I’d marinade the chicken overnight. But I didn’t have time for that. Lol!
During my trip, I’m planning to take my monitor off the desk, just in case my desk decides to fall before I return. I want to ensure my monitor remains undamaged. I hope to complete my desk as soon as we’re back, though not immediately, certainly shortly.
Tommy is on his way home now, and we plan to exercise together before he starts packing. While I wait for him, I’ll make some tea and catch up on YouTube. For dinner tonight, we’re having pulled pork, so at least I’ll be able to get some protein in. Plus, we always have a protein shake after our workout, so I’ll still be covered in that regard.
