Karissa and Kel are in San Diego. Karissa’s currently in line to pick up her TwitchCon badge, and I’m excited for her – she’s been looking forward to this convention for a while.
With Tommy at band practice tonight, it’s just me, Alex, and Lexi for dinner. Alex and Lexi went to the store this morning and are cooking tonight, though I forgot what we were having. Lexi also had her dental cleaning today, but I didn’t think to ask how it went. Since I haven’t heard anything, I’ll check in with her later.
Right now, I’m coding. I’m taking a short break and thinking about grabbing some coffee and lunch – probably just a sandwich. I did get an update on dinner, though: we’re having pasta and crab rangoons. Lexi’s really excited about the crab rangoons; she said she found the recipe on TikTok. She said her dentist appointment went great, aside from being stabbed in the gums and tasting iron for an hour.
Most of my day has been spent coding and chatting with Kel. Karissa’s at the convention center, waiting in line to get her badge – she said she’s almost at the front. After that, they’re planning to grab In-N-Out and head to the beach. I told Kel she should check out Old Town and Seaport Village. I loved going to those places when I was younger. The Gaslamp Quarter is also a great area to explore. She mentioned she’s visiting the Whaley House tomorrow, which is in Old Town, so I think she’ll find plenty to do while Karissa’s at the convention. I feel nostalgic knowing Karissa’s in San Diego – the place where I grew up.
It’s getting close to the end of the day. I spent most of it coding, and now I’m about to study some cybersecurity for a bit. I think Alex and Alexis are about to start dinner soon, which is good because I’m getting hungry. I’m going to make myself some hot tea and study for a while before relaxing with some YouTube or Final Fantasy XIV. I already put away the laundry from yesterday, so that’s one less thing to worry about.
Tommy and I are going to a friend’s house on Saturday, and I’m planning to bake some bread tomorrow to bring with us.
Kel and Karissa made it to their hotel. Karissa’s so tired she just wants to eat at the hotel restaurant. Kel mentioned how pricey it is, but Karissa doesn’t care – she’s been up since 2 a.m. I figured she’d be too excited to sleep last night. Anyway, I’m done studying for the day. Time to unwind with some YouTube and Final Fantasy.
