O’Malley is still sleeping under my desk, though I’m starting to question if it’s the safest spot for him right now, considering my old desk isn’t the most stable at the moment. After a bit of coding, I decided to take a break and treated myself to my birthday Starbucks drink. I then returned home and continued my coding session.
Kel is spending the day with her dad, taking him out to celebrate his birthday, which is just a few days away. It’s a lovely day outside with a high of 81 degrees, so it’s pleasantly warm.
However, the sunny weather took a turn as clouds rolled in and it began to rain. The temperature remains around 80 degrees, but now we have some rain to contend with. Merlin is back inside, much to his disappointment. He enjoys being out in the rain, but we prefer to keep him dry.
Tomorrow, Tommy has a day off, and we’ll be taking Lexi to her doctor’s appointment in the morning. I’m not sure what other plans we have, but we will likely work on my desk, as we need to apply some polyurethane to it. We’re also planning to celebrate my birthday this weekend, which should be more relaxed than today. Kel is making me a cake, and I’m considering tacos for my birthday dinner.
For the Fourth of July, Alexis and Alex are requesting burgers, chicken wings, and potato skins. I’m not certain if they’ll get that, but it does sound good. I’m taking another break from coding because I’m having difficulty focusing today—probably because it’s my birthday. However, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a birthday for me to struggle with concentration.
I believe we’re having pulled pork for dinner tonight, though I’m not entirely sure yet. I’m going to step away from the computer for now and probably spend some time on my phone. Lol!
