Day 4 is a day at sea. We were originally scheduled to stop in Invergordon, but Storm Floris has prevented us from doing so. Currently, we are navigating through the storm, contending with high winds and rough seas, which are causing the ship to list to the port side. As a result, walking around has become quite challenging. Fortunately, the ship remains safe; it’s just a bit difficult to move about. I’m grateful that I don’t get seasick, as I can only imagine how unpleasant that would be.
This morning, I enjoyed a mushroom omelet accompanied by hot tea. After breakfast, we visited the International Cafe, where I treated myself to a cappuccino. We then found a table and spent some time playing a few card games before lunch. For lunch, I chose Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, which was quite good, although I couldn’t finish it all. Following lunch, we made our way to the gelato stand, where I had my first scoop of coffee gelato. It was delightful!
The ship was listing, which made it challenging to move around. We decided to find another table to engage in a few more card games to pass the time. We’ve just finished our games and are now back in the room, waiting for dinner at 5 PM. I have about half an hour to spare. Since I haven’t done much today, I’m not feeling very hungry, so I think I’ll keep it light tonight. However, I did manage to close my exercise ring on my Apple Watch; I suppose the ship’s tilt makes it require more effort to walk in a straight line.
I’m back in the room now. The ship is no longer listing, but the seas remain rough, making it challenging to move around the boat. For dinner, I enjoyed shrimp and scallops. It was quite busy tonight, so the meal took a bit longer than anticipated. After dinner, our friends and Kel returned to their room, while Tommy and I headed to the Wheelhouse bar for a Coke Zero and a Malibu with pineapple juice. Afterward, we both made our way back to our room. I’m just finishing up some writing now and reflecting on tomorrow.
We will be in Greenock, Scotland, where we plan to visit Stirling Castle. We need to double-check our excursion details in the morning. For now, I’ll take care of my pill boxes before heading to bed.
