They stuck me four times. Four. I went in for an echocardiogram and a bubble test, which, in theory, is simple enough. They insert an IV, inject saline, and watch how the bubbles move through the heart. Totally fine… except they couldn’t find a good vein. By the fourth try, they went for the inside of my wrist. That one definitely stung, but at least it finally worked. The actual test only took about ten minutes, and then I was done. I don’t have a follow-up appointment scheduled yet to go over the results, so I should probably call and set one up for Monday.
I’m home now. Tommy and I made a few stops earlier, the post office, the library, before heading to my cardiology appointment, which ended up taking about an hour and a half. After that, we went to Costco and picked up a few things. Now I’m supposed to make teriyaki sauce… except I don’t actually know the recipe. Tommy does, but the second we got home, he went straight to take a nap, and he’s still asleep. I think I’ll at least get started by cutting up the ginger, onion, and pear so everything’s ready to go. It doesn’t take long to make, I’d just like a bit of a head start.
Alexis went to see a musical, The Hound of the Baskervilles. I’m sure she’ll love it. Kel is at work today, though she’s probably off by now.
I just wanted to jot something down quickly before I start dinner prep. And oh, happy first day of spring! It’s surprisingly hot outside. Spring really skipped the gentle introduction this year.
