Sitting here in Flying Star. A coffee shop/diner. The volume here is loud. Once I remove my hearing aids and put on my headphones, the volume won’t be so loud. Tommy is sitting across from me, studying and doing homework. Flying Star has their fireplace going, which is a nice touch. After Tommy has me order a drink, I can take my hearing aids off. I need them on so I can hear when I’m ordering. We had Whataburger for lunch after a few other places were a fail. I believe they are still in their lunch rush here.
I received sad news yesterday. A relative has cancer. However, she is in a good mood and finishes treatment this month. We are in good hopes that everything will turn out fine. I’m happy to hear that. I heard the news late in the game, but I understand why. Sometimes there is news that you don’t want to share with everyone. It also tells me that I haven’t talked to her in a while. I need to mitigate that. I’m terrible at keeping in touch with others. It goes in hand with being unable to communicate well and being so introverted.
I’m going to get my headphones on now and enjoy the quiet. Till next time…
