Sick day
Tommy is home sick today, and I’m uncertain if he will attend his band performance tonight. He doesn’t seem likely to go anywhere soon. I just realized I have therapy in half an hour, which I completely forgot about. I’ve been coding for the last hour, making the webpage look presentable. It isn’t quite turning out as well as I’d hoped, but it is very close to the example we were provided.
On Saturday, Tommy and I will be going to pick up Lexi from her school, as she’ll be home for Christmas. It’s wonderful to have all the kids back together; it should be a lovely time. I’ve already started receiving Christmas cards in the mail, only a few since it seems that no one does snail mail anymore, but I haven’t sent any cards out yet. I always seem to be running late for the holiday season. I rarely feel fully prepared for the festivities, yet I cherish this time of year. I should make an effort to write more letters and send out some snail mail. I used to do this regularly, but the digital age took over, and I let it slip. Perhaps I’ll give it another try in the coming year.
It’s getting late now. Tommy attended his band performance tonight, and they sounded great. He seems to be feeling better. We had trouble finding parking near the school, so we ended up using the police station parking lot and walking over. Fortunately, it wasn’t too cold outside. After the performance, we stopped by Smith’s to grab some sandwiches for dinner. I had a small sandwich and some macaroni salad. And a Coke Zero.
I’m going to head off to bed here in a few. Good night!
