Frazzled
Last evening, before Tommy and I went out for a walk, I was playing Final Fantasy XIV. There was a new update, so I was poking around to see what changed. After sixteen years, they finally added idle animations for the chocobo, plus little reactions when you pet or poke it. It’s pretty neat.
Tommy and I went for a walk before it got dark. Tonight, we’re planning to lift weights.
This morning, I spent an hour looking for Tommy’s glasses, only to find out they were sitting on his desk at work the whole time. After that, I got ready for the day and made my coffee. Now I need to start studying.
I have Everest today. I already took her outside, and now she’s roaming around the house, occasionally wandering into the office to check on me. It’s hard to keep her in here with the door closed because she starts whining and jumping on me to let her out. She’ll be getting breakfast soon.
I’ve spent most of the day studying, and my brain honestly feels a bit fried from all the information I’ve been taking in. Still, there’s a real sense of accomplishment underneath that exhaustion. I can see myself actually learning and retaining more as I go, which feels encouraging. Even when it gets intense, I’m enjoying the process of learning cybersecurity. It’s challenging, but in a way that keeps pulling me forward.
Tommy doesn’t have band practice tonight, so he will be home.
I’m hungry, but not in the mood for a snack. There isn’t much for snacks in the house anyway, aside from popcorn that I’d have to actually make. We do have microwave popcorn, but I’m not really a fan of it. Everything else feels like it crosses the line into “meal,” and I don’t want something that heavy right now. So, after going back and forth for a minute, I settled on coffee. It’s not exactly food, but it feels like enough to hold me over.
Oh, right. Laundry. I keep forgetting I started that earlier. I need to move everything into the dryer and then get Tommy’s hockey unders into the wash. If we end up studying again this weekend, and with Tommy off tomorrow, that seems likely, I’ll want those clean and ready to go for his hockey game.
Alright, laundry’s handled. That’s one less thing hanging over me. Now I can sit back down and get a little more studying in before calling it a day.
