Appointments
We went to Karissa’s cardiology appointment this morning, and thankfully, everything looks and sounds good. It was a relief to hear that things are going well. She doesn’t have to go back for another appointment for a whole year.
After the appointment, we stopped by Costco to get some gas. While we were there, Karissa decided to treat herself to a churro since Costco is selling them for a limited time. She definitely didn’t want to miss out on one while they were available! After Costco, we stopped at the store to pick up some vegetables, and then we headed home.
Tomorrow, I have an interview at Walmart for a bakery position. I’m not nervous about it, but I’m also looking forward to seeing how it goes. At this point, I just want a job. I think Alex is going to take me to Walmart for the interview, and I’ll give him some gas money to help with the trip.
I also realized that I haven’t been doing much with my memory journal lately. I’ve actually made some progress in one area because I printed out the pictures I want to add, but they’re still sitting there waiting for me to put them into the journal. I’m months behind now! I really need to find some time to sit down, organize the pictures, and start putting everything together. I have so many Disney pictures that I need to put into the journal. Well, I’m only going to do a few pages. I have a separate Traveler’s Notebook insert that I’m using for all the Disney ephemera that I collected.
I’d like to get back into the habit of working on it, even if I only do a little bit at a time. I think once I get started again, it will be easier to keep going. There are so many memories and pictures I want to preserve, and I don’t want to keep putting it off.
I looked for more job opportunities today and applied to a few positions that seemed like they could be a good fit. I’m really hoping that something comes through soon. It would be nice to finally have some positive news on the job front, especially after putting so much time and effort into searching and applying.
I also got a few more Christmas cards done while Kel was away at her doctor’s appointment. I’ve officially finished all of the international cards, so that’s one big part of the list checked off. Now I’m working my way through the family and friends here in the States. I haven’t sealed the envelopes yet. I want to put pictures in the cards. I would also like to have sticker address labels. Maybe. I mean, it would make it easier to put the return address on the envelopes rather than having to write it all in.
O’Malley is sleeping under my desk again. I’m trying to remember that he is under there and not step on him.
I need to go and start dinner. Air fryer chicken thighs, sweet potatoes, and squash.
